This blouse was part of my "back to work" outfit from this post. Here, I've gone a bit more rustic with the cargo skinnies, boots, and vest. And for a casual look, there is a lot going on--we have a high & low mix with the accessories, brand name and vintage with the top layers, and then a novelty print in the blouse.
In terms of functionality this type of layering (cardigan under an outerwear vest) is perfect for the volatility of spring weather. Having options is key when outfitting around the day's temperature progression.
And on a final note, this sweater is truly a Grandpa Cardigan, as it was my grandpa's, AND it was a part of his mail-carrier uniform!!! Yeah, this is a 90's thrift store dream, and a nice memory for me personally.
