Blue Cropped Trousers Back After an Unintended Hiatus

Last spring/summer I wore these cropped trousers almost once a week and they made several appearances on the blog, here, here, here. Since late last summer I haven't worn them at all. Not that I don't still find them to be so chic and fresh, I do. I just had other/newer things to wear. With this year of not shopping I'm starting to revisit garments that took an unexpected hiatus. I'm looking forward to transitioning my fall items back into the closet, it'll be like getting "new" clothes. I'm expecting the same treat in April/May when I unpack my summer pieces next year!

40 Year Old Cottagecore

Rent the Runway to the Rescue

So after the semi-disastrous dress vote from last week I took the stiletto by the heel, aka reserved this Slate & Willow dress from Rent the Runway for the wedding in July. Slate & Willow I had my eye on this as a possible outfit for the Tilda Swinton event I attended last month (fancy I know!) But, ended up going pretty casual since it was just a film screening. An AMAZING screening, but not a dressy affair nonetheless. Anyway, this striped sheath has so many good reviews from a variety of fellow renters in all shapes and sizes, I didn't see one unflattering user pic, so I'm fairly confident this frock will serve my needs come July.
