White Denim Jacket Part 2

 Here again we have a white denim jacket for spring from some outfit pics taken a few weeks ago. You may recall last week's post featuring the same jacket here.  In this look I went with a more romantic and bohemian styling.

I love the contrast of rustic pieces like the jacket and cowboy boots with the floral oversized jumpsuit and gold jewelry. This belt is part of a set I got at Amazon, which I realize is a retailer that needs to be held accountable for it's practices and CEO. I've re-purchased better versions of this belt from Bella Belt (the instagram adds got me)and I no longer plan on sporting the Amazon belts or promoting them in anyway.  It's a fine line to walk when thinking about the power of your purchase. Do I agree with the actions of certain retailers and brands, not usually. Should I be expected to boycott in such a way that makes my life more inconvenient... that's not an easy question to answer. Basically, brands need to do better and work to make the customer's life easier, not harder. 

And now let's appreciate the volume of this jumpsuit!

Gift Guide Part 3--Literature

So far I've covered beauty products and socks in this year's round of gift guides, which are prefect gift categories for the coming winter. To add to that list--reading! Here are a few books from my Books Worth Reading Pinterest board, first up--poetry! Rent the Runway to the Rescue

So after the semi-disastrous dress vote from last week I took the stiletto by the heel, aka reserved this Slate & Willow dress from Rent the Runway  for the wedding in July.  Slate & Willow I had my eye on this as a possible outfit for the Tilda Swinton event I attended last month (fancy I know!) But, ended up going pretty casual since it was just a film screening. An AMAZING screening, but not a dressy affair nonetheless.  Anyway, this striped sheath has so many good reviews from a variety of fellow renters in all shapes and sizes, I didn't see one unflattering user pic, so I'm fairly confident this frock will serve my needs come July.
