One Fun Dress!

The colors and textures here are giving me LIFE! dress- Sugarhill Boutique via Le Tote , necklace- Le Tote , sandals-J.Crew Factory(similar here ), sunnies- Sole Society , bag-Thrifted This came in my latest tote from Le Tote and I AM LOVING IT! And I'm loving these pictures. This background really makes the dress feel perfect for summer in the city.  I went back and forth about a belt, and decided to forgo with one as it felt like it complicated the dress. I will say, even though this dress is fun and awesome, the pattern and waistline are a bit off, making for a wider effect in that area then is necessary OR real. It's hard to see in these photos because I'm engaging my core like a pro.

Lacy Skirt at Work

I'm not going to lie,I look pretty darn chic here, if I do say so myself. I'm thinking it's time to update the FB profile pic! skirt-Mikkat Market(similar here ), blazer-Forever 21(similar here ), tank- J.crew Factory , necklace- La Radiant via Le Tote , bracelet-H&M(similar here ), rings- Jewel Mint , flats- Shoe Mint It's hard to pull off lace in a typical office setting. Here I kept things simple, shape and color wise. Just a standard grey blazer, minimal jewelry, and flats.

Simple Skirt & Tee

It's very subtle, but the necklace echos the print of the skirt, that's some ninja outfitting! These rings are from Jewel Mint, but sold separately, and happily work really well together as a stacked set.  tee- Gap , skirt- Old Navy , necklace- Jewel Mint , flats- J.crew Factory , bag-Gifted Just a simple little outfit for a fun Saturday afternoon stroll. Wearing all back in summer can be really chic, but I find that the accessories should be on the subtle, daintier side. You don't want to look too weighed down in the heat with chunky jewelry, or overly complicated shoes when doing all black, especially if it's a bit more covered up like this short-sleeved tee, as opposed to tank or strappy dress.

Seahorse Dress

dress- Le Tote , necklace as  bracelet- Jewelmint , shoes-Forever 21(similar here ), sunnies-Banana Republic(similar here ), bag- Coach How super-cute is this dress? Yep it IS covered in seahorses with a heart-shaped cutout, which in theory sounds silly, but comes together quite well here. I kept the rest of the look simple with beige lace-up oxfords and the chain necklace as bracelet. Oh and of course my beautiful Coach bag Mr. Keller got me for our anniversary! He completely surprised me, which is not an easy thing to do. I think the bright tone of the bag is a nice contrast to the cooler hues in the dress making both pieces pop!

The Summer of Drapey Pants Continues

Woo, it's hot out here! blazer-Zara(similar here ) , tank- Olive+Oak via Le Tote , pants-Madewell(similar here ), necklace- Jewelmint , sandals-Jcrew Factory(similar here ), sunnies- Sole Society Pairing this tank and these pants had the potential to be a busy mess, but the shared pastel hues, beige blazer, and call-back of the teal in the sandals brings it together nicely.  We've seen both of these pieces before here and here . I think they are prefect for this summer of drapey pants, which is my catchall to mean that this summer it's all about wearing light and breezy pieces instead of skin tight/revealing looks. What's your go-to aesthetic this summer?
